New Battlefield Ruleset "Updated" July 2nd

Hi
The BC2 team have been working for weeks awaiting this new patch to do some changes to make it as competitive as possible. We have come together and built 2 new rulesets that we think will improve the game.

The 2 rulesets are NOT LIVE only the Edom Original is live, we want to have your opinion on these before we do put them live in the open ladder.

Edom original
-No restriction

Edom Modified

Start spawn delay

40 seconds for all gametypes

-Ticket count

Rush
6v6-7v7 70%
8v8-11v11 90%
12v12-16v16 110%

conquest
6v6-7v7 60%
8v8-11v11 75%
12v12-16v16 100%

ticket bleed speed of 125% = once you get 2 flag the ticket drop 1 every 5 seconds
Only apply to conquest gametype

Squad Rush
ticket 150% = 30 tickets

-restriction

Class limitation

-medic
2 pers 4 players up to 7v7
4 pers 8 players up to 11v11
6 pers 12 players up to 16v16

weapon restriction
engineer

-M2 CG
1 pers 4 players up to 7v7
2 pers 8 players up to 11v11
3 pers 12 players up to 16v16

-RPG-7
1 pers 4 players up to 7v7
2 pers 8 players up to 11v11
3 pers 12 players up to 16v16

-M136AT4
1 pers 4 players up to 7v7
2 pers 8 players up to 11v11

Edom Infantry only

I dont think the number of tickets in squad rush needs changing. 20 is fine, makes for a tight game.

Lowering for Rush is a good idea but why set it at 75? Why not alter it depending on number of players?

Forgive me if its already in the default rule set (although I don't think it will be)

But, the default start time for a round is now 15 seconds, since the last patch.

However with this new patch we have the ability to set our own round start times.

Would it be a good idea to set a standard for this? Say... 40 seconds, which would give players from both clans ample time get all their players in and in the correct squads.

Its controllable through the 3rd party tools (did not work until patch came out) such as Guardian, but would it be possible to write a line in the Edom config that enforced it?

Apologies if this is wildly inaccurate, its just popped into my head at work.

I am sure we can put it in the Edom pb files but we will look into it if not will put it down as a rules/server setting

The home server will need to be set by the host ,because of the variable of the medic restriction and other restriction. i don't think we can do it but we did contact the creator of bc2 guardian to see what we can come up with to make it easy for everyone.

Or we could do several XML files for bc2 guardian and have it for a download

Unfortunately these cant at the moment be incorporated into a cfg , so the server will have to be set up prior to the match using an rcon program, the rcon program will need to be running through out the match to make sure the server keeps the settings, we have tried each setting using BFBC2Guardian and although you are free to use any rcon program we will only be able to offer assistance with BFBC2Guardian so it is recommended that this is the program you use.
I will be posting screenshots very soon that should help show how to use BFBC2Guardian to set up your server.

I am wondering if it would be worth contacting a server host to see if they are able to add them as they have done to the Game hosting servers for Edom HC/SC - has anyone approached any server admin to see if they can help as we dont have access to the public files ?

Gamehosting is very willing to do what they can but the trouble is other providers are not,(i will ask though)
At the minuet we are still working on a couple of bugs , i have made a tut on how to set up your server and i will be posting it very soon, I have contacted the developer of BFBC2Guardian to see if he can help with maybe an automated html for BFBC2Guardian.
we are aiming to get this implemented as soon as we can.

Just want to be on the right side of the law come this weekends matches.

No there not active yet, when they become active it will be for the open ladder to start with .

Did you read my post before adding your typical sarcastic not at all helpful reply?

I queried why 40 tickets for squad rush and why set it to 75% for rush. Why not set by number of players. Now I may be missing something but nowhere does it say the number of tickets is changeable dependant on number of players. By this i mean for 7v7 maybe 60 tickets 8v8 maybe 70 etc etc
