BC2 Rule change

Hi, as you know for the last couple of weeks we have looked at your suggestions and today we are making the first step for change.

How to enter final result:

Gametype Rush and Squad Rush:

On attack: 1 point for every m-com destroyed
On defense: you don't have to count anything

Rush exemple:
Clan A vs Clan B

- Clan A on attack destroyed 5 m-coms
- Clan B on attack destroyed 4 m-coms

The final and to be entered score would be:
Clan A 5
Clan B 4

Squad Rush exemple:
Clan A vs Clan B

Clan A on attack destroyed 2 m-coms
Clan B on attack destroyed 1 m-com

Final score
Clan A 2
Clan B 1

Gametype Conquest:
Teams will play both sides of the map

Example:
-Clan A win first round
-Clan B lose second round ( Clan A wins the second round as well )

Ffinal score
Clan A 2
Clan B 0

You will be able to find this in the BC2 rules.

These changes are only the first ones, more will come . Please keep the suggestions / feedback coming.

I dont understand your reasoning re the conquest change. 2 sides of a map will take a dogs age to complete, and it's also not clear if you base the score on tickets left or if it's 1 point per side win.

Tickets make much more sense.

At the moment it is 1 point per side, so the score would be 1-1 or 2-0.

Doc, 2 halfs would fit almost exactly in an hour. The reason it is not tickets is because this is much easier for players. For tickets you would have to make screenshots etc of how many tickets you've left or the other team has left, which will be more confusing and often will be forgotten.

I argued for tickets doc BUT you have the recording issue

However you do get the klaxon when one team is about to lose so i guess you could do a quick screenie/ write down then

That was it would stop the 1-1 draws as keeping hold of tickets becomes important

i.e A vs B

- A wins round 1 with 27 tickets left
- B wins round 2 with 31 tickets left

Would make score instead of 1-1, a win to Clan B 31-27

If clan A also won round 2 with say 10 tickets they would claim a win 37-0

That make sense?

Fair enough.

Personally I don't have much knowledge of the Conquest maps in BC2 as I've only played 1 scrim and 30mins of public at best, so I have no idea if there's any map bias which requires alternate sides. If there's no bias just play 1 side. Maybe ask the Conquest teams/players?

I just wanted to see a higher chance of a definate winner rather than a draw. Lets hope DICE sort out a proper scoreboard.

Is the squad rush the same yeah?

on Squad rush if you planted BOTH bombs on attack you got 1 point and only had to defend 1 bomb on defence to be given the point.

So would it be 2-0 like it was in our last game or with the new change would it now of been 3-1?

you only score on attack so if you planted two bombs on you attack and you defended good the next half then the score would be:

2-0

if other team planted one to your two.

2-1

if other planted both like you.

2-2

well done on the rush scores. and i think what you have done with conquest is also a good idea. as screenshots dont always work in bc2 unless you use fraps or something so as for now its the best way to go. and its much simpler now and should get proper results gj lads wp :YY:

ohh and i jsut saw the rules for setups etc looks neat

I think the new rules make it more fair, some maps are easier from one end than the other esp for conquest.

I must admit to have missed the previous rule that conquest was only one end so when we played our last game and after one end the other team left it was a bit perplexing.

Is there any other rules in the pipe line like the ones for MW2 like no nube tubes etc?

Certainly an improvement on the rules, this should make the games more enjoyable. I looked at the rules page - you may wish to amend the During battle section substitutions and pausing I think you need to remove this section

"- In Search and Destroy, each clan can use one timeout per match. The timeout lasts max. 2 minutes. The timeout can be used to either substitute a player (see above), or in case one or more players have dropped out (crashed).
- In other gametypes, the match will not be paused, unless one clan loses 2 or more players. The pause will be max. 2 minutes, followed by a fast_restart."

Dosen't apply to BC2
